CABS Conference and Meeting - Mauritius 2025

Jointly organised by the Community of African Banking Supervisors (CABS), Technical Group of the Association of African Central Banks (AACB), Partnership for Making Finance Work for Africa (MFW4A), and the Financial Stability Institute (FSI) of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and hosted by the Bank of Mauritius (BoM) from June 23 - 24, 2025.

Briefing note

Accommodation: All delegates must contact hotels directly to arrange, confirm and guarantee their bookings. Negotiated special Bank of Mauritius rates for hotel rooms are available for participants staying at the hotels listed below. This is, however, subject to room availability.

Airport Transfers: The Bank of Mauritius will arrange complimentary airport-hotel transfers for all registered participants at the above-mentioned hotels. Delegates must share flight itineraries by 5 June 2025 to ensure arrangements are in place.  

Transportation: Shuttle services to and from the venue of the meeting will be provided to all delegates lodging at the recommended hotels.

Weather: June in Mauritius is cool and dry with average temperatures between 18°C – 25°C.

About Us

The idea of an Association of African Central Banks was first introduced on May 25, 1963, at the Summit Conference of African Heads of State and Government held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In this regard, African Heads of State and Government unanimously agreed to set up a preparatory Economic Committee to study a large range of monetary and financial issues, in collaboration with Governments and in consultation with the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
