Symposium - Banjul 2022
The Central Bank of The Gambia organized the Association of African Central Banks (AACB) Governors' Symposium at Sir Dawda Jawara International Conference Centre in Banjul, The Gambia, on August 4, 2022, on the theme ''Digital Innovations and the Future of the Financial Sector: Opportunities and Challenges for Central Bank Digital Currencies'', as a prelude to the 44th Ordinary Meeting of the Assembly of Governors, held on August 5, 2022. One hundred and twenty-eight (128) participants, including Governors and senior Officials of Central Banks, as well as Senior Officials of partner institutions, and regional and international organizations, participated in the Symposium to exchange views, among others, on the opportunities offered by technological innovations and challenges for the financial sector.
