The Seminar on “Climate-Related Financial Risks and Sustainable Finance”, to be hosted virtually by the Central Bank of Egypt on December 4 - 5, 2023.

This Seminar is designed to provide an overview of Basel issuances related to Climate-related financial risks measurement and methodologies. Additionally, it will highlight the role of financial regulators in enhancing sustainable finance and tools needed to support the transition towards sustainability within the financial system.

About Us

The idea of an Association of African Central Banks was first introduced on May 25, 1963, at the Summit Conference of African Heads of State and Government held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In this regard, African Heads of State and Government unanimously agreed to set up a preparatory Economic Committee to study a large range of monetary and financial issues, in collaboration with Governments and in consultation with the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
