CABS Conference and Meeting - Banjul 2023

The Central Bank of The Gambia will be hosting the 2023 CABS Conference and Meeting, which will be held on April 6-7, 2023, in Banjul, Gambia.

Briefing note
  • Accommodation: Participants should contact the hotels directly to book their accommodation.
  • Airport transfers: The Central Bank of The Gambia (CBG) will provide complimentary airport transfers to and from the hotel for all participants staying at the recommended hotels.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: All participants are required to have a valid Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate upon arrival in The Gambia.
  • A mandatory airport security levy must be paid upon entry and exit of the country. This levy amounts to US$20. Holders of diplomatic passports are exempt.
  • Participants are requested to complete their online registration and hotel booking not later than 3rd April 2023.

About Us

The idea of an Association of African Central Banks was first introduced on May 25, 1963, at the Summit Conference of African Heads of State and Government held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In this regard, African Heads of State and Government unanimously agreed to set up a preparatory Economic Committee to study a large range of monetary and financial issues, in collaboration with Governments and in consultation with the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
